The Value Of Time

People nowadays are more distracted than 30 years ago. In the 19th century, technology is not yet fully developed. There are large area in every corner of the globe that are beyond reach of internet, social media is not yet emerging high, touchscreen devices are haven’t been existed. When you look back and compared this new era there is a huge distinction on human behavior and lifestyle. People in this modern world are more distracted from younger generations addicted in gadgets , smart phone and social media without realizing that they are spending long hours just wasting their time instead of spending it in productive and important things.

How do a large percentage of population wasting their time?

Internet and social media is the number one distraction to people in this generation. The moment they wake up in the morning without even praying and thanking God for another day the first thing they do is checking their facebook, instagram and other social media account. Social media is good if we are responsible and disciplined on how to use it.

Another distraction is high technology, video games and smart phone. This is another big factor stealing our attention to focus in the present moment and do the important things we need to accomplish to achieve our goal.

Family relationship is affected when everyone at home is busy in their own activity, either surfing on the internet,  navigating their smart phone, playing video games or watching television. They don’t have time to communicate and enjoy their family bond.

Socializing with friends become less personal because they rather spend their time on internet or social media than going out with peers to explore and enjoy the beauty of nature.

The impact of technology on our social, mental, physical and environmental health can be devastating if we don’t keep ourselves in check.

How we spend our time has the huge impact in our life, relationship and goal. Our lifestyle or habit will determine our future.

  1. i want to quote, “Time is Gold”… Technologies evolve according to human wants… as they say, human wants are unlimited. But the evolution of technology perse is not to be blamed but yes, on how we human respond to what is given. Setting up your priorities is very important otherwise we will always lead to – consume our time in unnecessary things that will not be the main help for our goals/purposes in life.

    Thank you for reminding!
