How To Show Love To Your Significant Other?

How to show the perfect love to people dear to us especially to your significant other is something that everyone I believe is not expert from the beginning. We want to please our wife or husband but still a failure. We don’t know the secret formula how to have a successful relationship. How to love him/her and make them feel happy and satisfied is a struggle for many that’s why failed relationships and divorces nowadays are rampant all over the world. Sometimes you say you already have given everything and do whatever you think can make them happy but still, it wasn’t enough and unsuccessful.

Before the love month is over, I want to share with you what is in the Scripture and my insights in showing love to people around us. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It is a wonderful feeling to love and be loved. We all need Love. Love makes the world go round. But what is the right definition of love and how can we show love to someone, our significant other is something we have to know and learned.

Love according to Scripture:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient,

Love is kind.

It does not envy.

It does not boast

It is not proud.

It does not dishonor others.

It is not self-seeking

It is not easily angered

It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects

Always trusts

Always hopes

Always perseveres.

Love never fails.

In the Bible God commanded a husband and wife on how they should love each other.

Ephesians 5:22-28 : Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

The Scripture has very clear and good definition about love and the duty of husband and wife but maybe some will say it is very difficult to follow and obey this command because of so many reasons …..the blaming to each other would start.

In my opinion as what I learned from respected people with happy and successful marriage relationships, if every individual mind thinking when it comes to relationships is ” What can I do or contribute in this relationship rather than what can I get from this relationship, I believe things will work out and harmonious between the two of you.

Being in a relationship is NOT selfish. Entering into a relationship is not expecting on what you can get or benefit from that relationship. When you enter into a relationship you are thinking on how to share your love and yourself to that person and what you can contribute in that relationship. If both individual mind thinking is how to take care and make him/her feel love, NOT focusing his ownself expecting how he/she should love ME nobody will get disappointed and the relationship will be smooth and in harmony.

Conclusions

Remember the quote “What you sow is what you reap”. When you sow love you will reap love, when you sow kindness you will reap kindness, when you sow good you will harvest good.

“Whatever you give in life it will come back to you, therefore whatever you want to happen to you and experience in life, you have to do it first to others then it has his own way how to return back to you.”

I hope you learned something from my blogs.

Till my next topic.

Wishing you all a wonderful day. Happy Hearts everyday.

Peace, Love and Happiness.
