Leisurely Walk In Old Tbilisi, Georgia

Hello dear friends and readers, finally I’m already done with my first travel out of the country this year 2018. Like what I mentioned in my previous post (Click here for those who haven’t read) it is one of my goal this year to have a break and see the beautiful country of Georgia, visit the old town of Tbilisi and experience the snow ❄️ in Gudauri mountain as it was my first time for a cold winter weather.

Day 1 – I woke up around 8am in the morning as I arrived in the hotel around 12 midnight. I immediately went to the bathroom took shower and changed clothes then I talked to the receptionist and asked her how to go to the city. She told me I can go by taxi it’s only 5 minutes away from the hotel I am checked-in. I decided to go for this plan to explore on my own in the morning as I learned from the tour guide who picked me and dropped me to the hotel that our tour during that day would start at 2pm. Because I don’t want to spend my morning staying only in hotel I decided to go out and roamed around the city maybe I can find shops for souvenir or whatever.

After taking my breakfast I went out and walk around the hotel and took a taxi headed to the Old Tbilisi town, a historical part of the City. The Old Tbilisi is the Capital of Georgia and one of the tourist destination so when I got off from the car I saw a lots of tourist roaming around and taking photos.

The first time I glanced the City I was captivated with their historical infrastructure. Obviously, It was new to my eyes and really different from the places that I had visited because this was the first time I went to a Europe country ( This country is at the boundary of Europe and Asia). The weather was very nice, it was cold and sunny.

I walked around the City, I noticed the Cable Car from down going to the top of the Hill. Taking a ride in the cable car offers a perfect views over the whole City, but I didn’t take the cable car yet since I know that I will come back later in our tour which is included. Also I have only limited time as I need to go back to the hotel as they will pick me up at 2:00 pm for the tour scheduled for that day.

Then I started to collect memories and photos . Check out below. Hope you like it. 🙂

In that leisurely walk for a few hours I already fall in love with the City. I like the weather, the environment, the City itself and safety for tourist. From the travel agent representative, hotel staff and the taxi driver who dropped me to the Old Tbilisi town I felt that they are very nice people and kind-hearted.

At 12 noon I took a taxi going back to my hotel as I wanted to rest for awhile and also take lunch before the tour bus pick me.

To be continued..…..in my post tomorrow. Keep in touch. Have a great day.:)
